What WhatsApp requires

  • A bot can reply free-form only inside the 24-hour customer-service window opened by the customer's message; afterwards it uses approved templates.
  • Customers must have opted in; a bot never starts marketing conversations with people who have not.
  • AI answers come from your own knowledge base and your own API key; Waki does not sell unofficial WhatsApp bots.

No. The flow builder is visual: triggers, messages, conditions, delays and webhooks are configured in the browser. Developers can add webhooks and the REST API where needed.
How does the AI auto-reply work?
You connect your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key and upload a knowledge base. The assistant answers from that content. The Professional plan lists AI auto-reply and Enterprise lists AI auto-reply with knowledge base.
Can the bot hand over to a human?
Yes. Conversations the bot does not handle sit in the shared team inbox, where an agent is assigned and sees the full history.
